About Me
I'm driven by experiences in everything that I do - from my work, travels or through the (many) sports I play and follow.
My transition to UX/UI was not conventional. I spent most of my professional career in the banking industry empowering clients to reach their financial goals. I quickly realized that a lot of my clients weren't taking advantage of the resources available to them (e.g. online banking) given their unfamiliarity with tech and their doubts in privacy and security. This is what sparked my interest in technology. I became eager to learn how I could deliver meaningful web/mobile applications that gave users the confidence to meet their goals.. whatever that may be.
In 2019, I enrolled in a full-stack programming course at the University of Toronto and subsequently completed an immersive UX/UI program at General Assembly (formerly Bitmaker). These courses gave me the foundational skills to understand and validate user motivations and use the insights to build high-quality web applications.
My work focuses on creating simple, usable and engaging products that make even the simplest tasks easier. People are the centre of my design process as I feel there is always a story behind each problem. I always strive to understand the needs and the wants of people through research, conceptualization, launch and continuous iteration.
In my downtime i'm either listening to podcasts, enrolling in Hackathons or wasting away the hours on Dribbe/Behance finding design inspo.
